History of the MIDDLE FINGER..

Got this from an email.. Just wanna share it to you guys, hehe...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as 'plucking the yew' (or 'pluck yew').

Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F, and thus the words often used in conjunction...

Conquering the DEVIL'S MOUNTAIN (Mt. Cristobal)

Mt. Cristobal, in Dolores Quezon is known to be the 'Devil's Mountain' because of the entities surrounding the area. It is the twin mountain of Mt. Banahaw, Banahaw being the GOOD twin and Cristobal being the BAD. The trail is steep and mossy.. not just on the ground but up to the tree tops. According to stories from other mountaineers, they tend to hear creepy sounds in the middle of the night.. but as per my teammates the only sound they hear w/c even woke them up is me.. snoring. haha!

Heavy rains made the trail harder for us, we were all soaking wet when we reached the camp site. Too bad we didn't anticipated the heavy rain. Posted below are pics taken on day2.. i dont wanna risk my camera getting wet so we have to wait for the rain to stop before taking some pics. :p

We went to bato bato resort in Dolores before heading back home.

Anyway.. it was a hell of a second climb for me. Will i go back to Cristobal? Yes. but will check the weather first.
